David Kim

Founder and CEO

David Kim is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Compass Health Advisors. He has over 20 years of experience as a trusted strategic advisor to executives at leading healthcare organizations seeking to navigate the short and long-term impacts of alternative payment methodologies and value-based care delivery. His focus on value-based care and Population Health Management (PHM) broadly spans the full range of services from strategic advisory and operational readiness to technology and digital health enablement.

Mr. Kim’s experience working with clients from across the maturity continuum along their value-based care journey provides a unique perspective that allows him to guide healthcare organizations beginning with front-end planning through design and implementation of PHM and care management infrastructure. He has in-depth knowledge of the payer, provider and regulatory landscape that allows him to identify key strategic, operational and financial ramifications of risk-based agreements that organizations enter into.

Before founding Compass Health Advisors, Mr. Kim served in numerous leadership roles at other healthcare consulting firms where he led practice and services development related to value-based care enablement. He is a frequent speaker at industry forums, board retreats and conferences and has been published on numerous topics related to value-based care and PHM.

Mr. Kim holds an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, New York, NY. He received his BA in Government from Cornell University.
